• The Queen's Arms is a quintessentially English, Georgian era inn, close to the border of Somerset and Dorset, and just outside of Yeovil. Our Gurus love the Lego-like quality of the design, in pale blonde stone, and the surprisingly stylish pub and restaurant. They recommend you try the Moor Queen’s, which is on tap, and the perfect thing to come back to after walking the surrounding countryside - try it with the homemade pork pies, or else something fancier from the modern British restaurant. Travel Information

• If you’re travelling via London, you can take the train from Waterloo to Yeovil, a journey of around two hours and forty five minutes - though bear in mind that neither of Yeovil’s two stations are close to the centre of town. Bristol Airport is one of the closest airports if you’re flying in, and it’s around an hour away from Yeovil by car or taxi, but around three hours away by public transport. Exeter Airport is a similar distance.
