“A vibrant beachfront retreat overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Decked out in airy blues and whites, each room offer a modern spin on their plantation past. Indulge in fresh seafood or pizzas by the sea, unwind in hammock-strung gardens or take a leisure stroll to nearby vibrant locales”

Hotel review

Directly in the heart of the island’s action this hotel, on the site of the island’s first hotel, dates from the 1950s. The central building has wide verandas laid out with old mahogany furniture, wicker inlay, rattan sofas and plantation chairs. It’s setback from a lovely stretch of beach with gorgeous grounds filled with mango, guava and breadfruit trees and spongy grass.

Beautifully spaced are the tranquil, duck-egg blue gingerbread-style square cottages. They have pretty fretwork on the exterior and blue-and-white contemporary interiors with large windows and fresh, airy rooms. All the villas come with a kitchenette and planter's chairs on the verandas. The Main House Sea View rooms have a private terrace. The Beach and Orchard suites are more spacious. The vaulted ceilings preside over white washed walls, large wardrobes and vast walk-in showers.

From the hotel there’s a daylight trail around the headland to Princess Margaret Beach and an evening wander along the well-lit Belmont Walkway, past restaurants to the stalls and the harbour in Admiralty Bay.

Bequia Plantation Hotel

This hotel looks absolutely gorgeous, with its gingerbread-style cottages overlooking lawns dotted by palms. Its location is a big draw too, near to one of the Caribbean's prettiest natural harbours, and in walking distance of lots of waterfront places to eat and drink.
