A private house, built in 1731, has survived. It is now a seventeen-room hotel. Its very pretty Gustavian décor (curated by the City Museum’s experts), rough boarded floors and candle-lit dining room draw large numbers of Swedish tourists, particularly at week-ends, to see how their wealthy ancestors lived. But it can do the things (e.g. wi-fi, parking, etc.) that a business clientele needs too. Smallish rooms with (nicely) old-fashioned showers. Not sparkling, but picturesque and charming.
