Why do people love staying in your hotel? Villa Maroc was the first Riad in Morocco. Stylish, authentic, welcoming, perfect situation in the medina of Essaouira, good staff. What is there to do in the area? Exotic oriental medina life, water sports, excursions to the berber market, the pottery city of Safi, the secret beach, a hiking tour …… Essaouira is a very laid back small city. Easy to visit. Very relaxed. And of course you have that beautiful beach. What kind of breakfast do you offer? We serve (not buffet) a traditional moroccan breakfast with home made marmalade and jam, home made yoghurt, different traditional bakery, eggs, fresh cheese with tomatoes, olives & olive oil, fruit salad or swiss muesli. Good coffee and tea. Orange juice. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We have a good moroccan restaurant where we serve a daily changing menu or à la carte, only in the evening. For lunch we recommend the Saha K’fé just around the corner for light lunches, home made cakes, fresh juices, Illy coffee and good teas. Which are your most popular room types, and why? The sea view suites, in a Riad the rooms are mostly to the courtyard, but we are lucky to have 7 sea view rooms. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? We have 2 family rooms for up to 4 persons, no special facilities for kids. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Villa Maroc is a Riad, a hotel in 4 houses of the 18th century, with a full hotel service. We also own a country guesthouse with swimming pool, where you can spend the day.
