Right on the beach in the quiet village of Taghazout, this hip hangout is popular with yoginis and surfers, being only 15 minutes from Morocco’s most famous surfing spot, Anchor Point. Space, sea, light and wellbeing is key to the feeling at this trendy young destination - mainly for couples, families and surfers. Set up by two well-travelled Agadir-born brothers, the aim here was to create a peaceful place with a holistic approach to wellness - where food, environment and exercise are integrated and given equal importance. The result is contemporary simplicity with natural, light-flooded spaces and a vibe that’s wonderfully relaxing and informal. The restaurant with large outdoor terrace so you can eat with the Atlantic waves crashing below, serves bistro-style food all day and is designed using upcycled wood. Robust and healthy menus are etched in chalk on blackboard painted walls and served by laidback staff. Open communal spaces encourage social interaction and guests can lounge on low seating or beanbag beds. Emphasis is on comfort and clean, whitewashed rooms all have access onto a terrace with ocean views. It’s the kind of place that appeals to people (not just surfers) who want somewhere lowkey to unplug by the seaside.
