“Easily as cool as the city itself, this sea-facing Regency 25 bedroom townhouse is one of Brighton’s most stylish addresses – couples will love its clubby social spaces and chic rooms with lots of galleries and good restaurants just minutes away. Really great for weekend group getaways.”

Hotel review

The flagship property of a boutique chain, rooms at this hotel feature bespoke decoration by artists including graffitist Blek le Rat and Jessica Albarn, known for her bee paintings. There’s no stuffy reception desk here. Friendly staff greet guests in an exposed-brickwork bar furnished with green velvet cocktail chairs, Slim Aarons prints and trailing plants: the perfect backdrop for signature drinks such as the Bakewell Sour. Overnighting guests will appreciate the quality breakfast – everything from a vegan full English to top-notch Bloody Marys – but the all-day café-restaurant is a hub for locals, too, with a partyish vibe at weekends. Bedrooms are built for retreat: softly luxurious, their super-comfy beds are strewn with covetable throws and Roberts Radios sit on reclaimed side tables. Guests may also find the high-end mini bar hard to resist. Bathrooms have either rainfall showers or roll-top tubs – but all are equipped with fragrant Bramley toiletries.
