Hotel Review

Avant Mar in Paros offers a chic, contemporary retreat with a touch of Cycladic charm.

Stay in the Superior Double Room, which, despite being rather small, is exquisitely designed and stocked with Aesop toiletries. Alternatively the plunge pool suite, though not entirely private, provides a relaxing spot for an afternoon dip.

Dining at Avant Mar is a delight. Matsuhisa’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion dishes are a must-try, and the Thymes restaurant, with its Mediterranean flavours, stands out for its excellent local dishes and poolside charm.

The best hotels in Paros

Rooms are split between four white cube, Cycladic-style buildings, and share the same pared-back design: curved cane bedheads, blue-and-white batik cushions and blonde wood armchairs (the best are those with a sea view), while, in the bathroom, there are modern marble sinks and Aesop products.
