“This colourful, characterful riad owned by a French artist will appeal to a younger crowd who appreciate a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Guests can dine at the proprietor's lively nearby restaurant.”

Hotel review

French painter Didier Spindler has splashed his mark on Dar Adul. His large scale colourful art works line the walls of this quirky riad off one of the main walkways that hosts some of the town's best eateries including Didier's own Caravane Café nearby, popular with foodies. Expect French cuisine in an atmospheric jungly setting with live music all enhanced by the presence of charismatic longterm manager Daniel. Dar Adul's six rooms are on the first floor of the guesthouse overlooking the courtyard. Each has a quaint layout decorated with quirky vintage finds, comfy seating, retro lighting and tiled showers. Some suites have beds on mezzanines, reached by painted wooden ladders. Blasts of colour appear round every corner. It's more shabby chic than preened in style. Guests take breakfast in the ground floor salon seated in vintage armchairs and can view the rolling Atlantic waves from the two-tiered rooftop terrace.
