“A charming owner-managed B&B offering five colourfully decorated suites themed after Indian states. The property has a homey feel with a delicious breakfast and a courtyard garden & roof terrace for guests to unwind in. Great value and well positioned in a quiet colony in the city centre.”

Hotel Review

Owned by an attentive husband and wife duo, Haveli Hauz Khas, nestled amidst a leafy enclave of one of south Delhi’s most popular neighbourhoods, Hauz Khas village, is an excellent option for solo travellers or those on a budget. Décor is clean and simple, with cosy white quilts, traditional Gujarati style throws, and verdant views out across a small park, where peacocks and parakeets can be overheard taking their morning bath. Every room is decorated in a unique colour palette: green, orange, red, and pink, all synonymous with India, some with hand-painted murals, each one with a small desk, and tea and coffee making facilities. Outside there is a shaded patio, filled with plants and a small fountain, plus a pleasant rooftop, covered in Astroturf, ideal for yoga in the morning or afternoon tea in the winters. Breakfast is your choice of cereals, seasonal fruits, eggs to order or a seemingly endless flow of 'parathas' and homemade pickles. Strong coffee and Nilu's famous masala chai are excellent accompaniments, as are her homemade jams. Simple, home-cooked, Indian meals can be ordered for lunch and dinner, but there are a number of good restaurants nearby which the staff are happy to recommend or help organise a delivery. A familiar and cosy stay – a great option for first timer’s to India’s capital.
