“An alabaster oasis in the heart of bustling Pushkar town. This 100 year old haveli provides boutique accommodation at a great price. Rooms are decorated in a fusion of Parisian chic and retro Indian style. Antique Rajasthani furnishings complete the look. Food at Sixth Sense is an Epicurean affair.”

Hotel review

Step through an ancient creaking door and you are a world away from Pushkar's dusty streets. A cavernous white marble courtyard awaits you, strewn with rose petals, and a sonorous fountain. Follow aged bougainvillea vines as you ascend toward your room. With just twelve, each individually decorated, ranging from simple, to family rooms and 'the jewel in the crown', the rooftop Asana suite. Cavernous four posters and low-slung beds look out through arched windows across the town and lake. Bright, patterned textiles adorn beds and sofas and traditional Rajasthani lamps bathe them in soft light. A culinary treat awaits you at the rooftop restaurant, Sixth Sense. Serving flavoursome North Indian cuisine and a novel European thali. A wonderful hideaway in the middle of town.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? It's intimate, it's private, it's casual, it's well run, there is a good happy atmosphere, there is no pushing of services - everything is clear and guests love our space. What is there to do in the area or on site? On site we have a rooftop restaurant, The Sixth Sense..with very good Indian and continental options. We also have a masseur. We can arrange local sightseeing, including camel safaris and travel arrangements. Generally we take care to ensure that your time here is good and you can spend it the way you wish. What kind of breakfast do you offer? We have a mainly continental breakfast (no eggs) including muesli, fresh fruit juices, homemade brown bread, eggless pancakes (delicious!!) etc. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We have an a la carte Indian and continental menu and definitely recommend eating at our place!! Which are your most popular room types, and why? Almost all our rooms are popular -some for their views, some because of the room rate. Each room has its own character. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? We have extra bed facilties and for children we have a very important, lovely staff member who really get along with children. We are a safe place, we also at the moment have 2 little kittens - a brother and sister - mimi and coco, and 2 more cats who sparkle and dazzle. Children just seem to spend all their time with them! What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? You are in India and this is a very special place where chaos flows into harmony somehow. Come and enjoy being with us, keep an open mind and you will love your time with us and your travels.
