With its location, overlooking a vast estuary leading to beautiful Blakeney Point, you might assume the panoramic view to be the star of the show at this traditional hotel abounding in old-fashioned country charm. Once inside however, a host of attractions vie for the limelight: superb food (hearty fare, exquisitely presented), cosy, light-filled bedrooms (many with estuary views, some with private garden/balcony) and a sense of space and tranquillity that makes it hard to believe there are as many as 64 rooms. First-rate staff and a fabulous indoor heated pool complete the picture at this rural retreat, ideally located for walkers.

"The main building and converted granary outhouse are made of red brick and flint, standing by a narrow channel with yachts and fishing boats. It’s a marvellously isolated spot for a stylish hotel, which has plenty of lounges with fireplaces."
