You can’t help but build up excitement as you approach this stylish Georgian manor house from the long track winding through its estate. Although it feels remote, smart Burnham Market with its excellent pubs, restaurants and independent shops, and the beaches and dunes of Brancaster and Titchwell are a short drive away. The White House balances contemporary with Georgian character, without sacrificing any modern comforts. The elegant hallway leads on to a delightful sitting room with rich red walls, a comfy pale blue sofa, both leather and velvet easy chairs and artworks by local artists. Everything is of the best quality in the spacious bedrooms — painted in restful, earthy colours — from the large, comfortable Hypnos beds to the Nespresso coffee machines, characterful furniture and lively artworks. Foodies will love the French-inspired cuisine at dinner and the wholesome breakfasts are delicious. The beautiful rural landscapes from every window are an extra treat.

In a very special – and rural – location, The White House is a perfect base for swanky Burnham Market and the North Norfolk Coast. The Georgian house was virtually derelict a few years ago, but it has been lavishly and thoughtfully renovated in a contemporary style while losing none of the signature space and light.
