“This charming, rural British-owned farmhouse offers stylish self-contained accommodation. Ideal for families and small groups wanting a comfortable base from which to explore their environs. Open March to October.”

Hotel review

Years spent working in glossy magazines has resulted in a very charmingly put together farmhouse with separate annexes to rent. British owner Tilly Howard has decorated the interiors with flair. Once belonging to her mother, it's now home to her and husband Will and their young sons. What makes this place special is the balance of privacy and communal living. Three self-contained summer houses or gites and a chambre d'amis with its own entrance offer seclusion. Guests can use the impressive 20 metre pool and hang out in the 18th century barn where there's an honesty bar, DVDs and books to borrow, ping-pong and a pool table. On Monday evenings the couple serve a simple market supper, there's wood-fired pizza on Thursdays and on Sundays brunch can be delivered to your cottage. It's a beautiful location and at night the garden looks magical lit up with fairy lights.
