“Unique, historic boutique guesthouse standing proudly in Treme. Originally a police jail and patrol station, it successfully retains oodles of character with exposed brick, reclaimed wood panelling and 19th century French furnishings. A quirky and atmospheric city stay.”

Hotel Review
History buffs will love the story behind this Inn. The jailhouse was rescued from almost certain demolition in 2013, eight years after Hurricane Katrina’s fury had left it derelict and unwanted. Wanting to pay homage to the NOPD, the innkeepers restored the rooms and public spaces to salute the city’s brave men and women in blue. Its nine bedrooms are rich with architectural details and antiques, including original police memorabilia. Even the Inn’s Yvonne Bechet Library is named after the highest-ranking female officer in NOPD history, who served at the Old Jail stationhouse for 22 years. Guests can choose from nine stylish rooms or even rent out the whole property and make use of the fully functioning kitchen, amazing rooftop deck, a courtyard with lush flora and an elegant piano room. The historic neighbourhood of Treme has so much to offer with vibrant architecture, delicious soul food and colourful jazz tours. A very enjoyable prison stay!
