“Located in Fez medina this former 17th century palace is no less grand today than it was all those years ago. The 14 rooms vary from comfortable luxury to the opulent Grand Suite in all its monochrome tiled, stained glass grandeur. There is a hammam and a restaurant popular amongst the literati. ”

Hotel review

Do not be fooled by the narrow medina lane and inconspicuous entrance to Palais Amani. Hidden behind those large cedar wood doors there is a centuries old palace which, following a meticulous renovation by its English and Franco-Moroccan owners, is as grand today as it was before. The 14 rooms range is size, price and luxury from the perfectly comfortable Classic Room to the sublime Grand Suite. There is even a two bedroom suite for families. What all rooms have that most properties in Fez of a similar price range do not is state of the art bathrooms. The only let down with this one is the lack of a pool, but the hammam offering traditional treatments (try one of their black salt scrubs), excellent restaurant and inviting roof terrace certainly makes up for it. The location, right in the heart of the city, within the medina walls is also spot on. We're already looking for an excuse to go back!
