Or if you’re feeling a little wild, consider booking one of the fairytale one-bedroom ‘Hives’ or two-bedroom treehouses in the nearby forest, ideal for families (the treehouses even come with an outdoor bath). What is there to do in the area? Wildhive Callow Hall is located in rural Derbyshire at the gateway to the Peak District. Walking and biking routes are plentiful and can be planned in Wildhive Callow Hall’s Map Room. Guests can leave the hotel (by foot or e-bike) and follow the Tissington Trail stopping by charming local villages or join the Dovedale route from the nearest town of Ashbourne. Chatsworth House is nearby too, where visitors can explore the gardens of this stately home or the rich cultural events programme of shows, talks and workshops.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? An a-la-carte breakfast menu is served in The Garden Room, no buffets which waste food. This is not included in room rate. Guests can also make use of the fully-equipped kitchenettes in Hives and Treehouses for a coffee or to make their own breakfast and feel at home!

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Food is served all-day in the beautifully light Garden Room, with expansive views of the Derbyshire countryside. The menu encourages guests to dine as they please, be it a casual meal of a selection of small plates and snacks, or a more formal three-course dinner. The eclectic and intriguing menu showcases the best in seasonal British - and where possible local - ingredients, with dishes inspired by Executive Chef David Bukowicki’s extensive travels, as well as historic British recipes with a modern twist. The menu changes seasonally and Bukowicki also works closely with the kitchen team to create dishes for the ever-changing ‘Best Of’ menu, incorporating the most seasonal ingredients into six dishes spanning snacks, mains and nostalgic desserts. Afternoon tea is also served to guests and visitors alike.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? Families are welcomed with open arms at Wildhive Callow Hall. The team ensures beds and cots are provided as well as high-chairs in The Garden Room. Dogs are also welcome in Hives, Treehouses and the ground-floor rooms in the Main House.
