The Blonde Hedgehog (which takes its name from the island’s thriving population of hedgehogs). is a brand new boutique hotel and restaurant situated in the quiet cobble stoned High Street in the centre of St Anne on the three mile long island of Alderney in the Channel Islands. The hotel is spread across three buildings; Clarence House, The Corner House and The Blonde Hedgehog itself.
The hotel’s bedrooms and interiors are the work of Charlie Horner Design. The nine rooms and suites spread across two buildings, as well as one detached luxury three-bedroom cottage. The rooms have been lovingly restored (the property used to be the Rose & Crown) and have been updated with a contemporary look and feel with large en-suite bathrooms, all with walk-in showers, some with baths.
Head Chef Matt Clarke and his team create mouth-watering farm-to-table dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including produce from the kitchen garden.
Explore glorious stretches of white-gold beaches, browse in the charming independent shops, and wander about at a gentle pace, as Alderney is a place where time moves a little bit slower and where you’ll savour the simple pleasures of life.
