“Two swimming pools, scenic views across the holy city and the best breakfast in town – The Orient Jerusalem promises to please.”

Hotel review

Located in an affluent neighbourhood a mile from the city centre, The Orient Jerusalem is one of the capital’s nicest – and newest – hotels. Housed partially in the heritage Templar building, The Orient pays homage to its history even as it boasts all the flashy facilities of a luxury hotel. In the basement, a sprawling spa complex includes a gym, sauna, hammam and indoor pool while sun loungers gathered around the outdoor pool look towards Jerusalem’s ancient sites. But it’s The Orient’s breakfast which will linger on in your memory long after you’ve returned home. A smorgasbord of Middle Eastern dishes, from fresh olives and appetizing dips to warm shakshuka (a local brunch favourite) and gooey baklava, this spectacular buffet-style spread showcases the region’s rich culinary tradition.
