A discreet entrance down a narrow side street sets the tone for this oasis of calm. Once a convent where missionaries were educated, the scale of the interior, from the high, vaulted ceilings to the thick, sturdy walls, enhances the hallowed historical importance of this 17th century building. Great emphasis has been placed on creating a space that’s contemporary while in harmony with the monastic feel. The hushed interior could make guests easily forget they are in central Palma. The Art Bar hosts regular exhibitions of local artists while the Michelin star Marc Fosh restaurant is a gourmand’s dream - pure alchemy on a plate. (Reservations essential.) Rooms are suitably relaxing with neutral tones and every comfort to de-stress after a busy day exploring the city. Guests can further unwind in the subterranean pool, sauna, wellness area or lie in a hammock on the upper terrace with refreshing plunge pool.
