South Australia is Australia’s largest wine-producing state and Barossa Valley, to the north east of Adelaide, is one of the country’s flagship wine-producing areas. A region of verdant valley and rolling hills around the North Para River, it contains some of Australia’s oldest vineyards. The star turn here is the Shiraz grape which produces wine of great depth and complexity. Whilst there is a wide range of wine hotels in the Barossa Valley, our three favourites are intimate and indulgent.
