Best Luxury Hotels in the Cotswolds
Our Favourites
- Buckland Manor ticks many boxes for us: it's a beautiful period property in a lovely country spot, rooms are timelessly elegant and the food is heavenly.
- Barnsley House is our other top pick. Set amid famous Rosemary Verey designed gardens, not only can you expect beautiful luxurious accommodation, there's also a fabulous spa and delicious dining.
For great value
- The Swan Inn not only offers luxury, but also great value for money. Here, lovely rooms can be had for exceptionally low rates, plus there's an excellent restaurant and wonderful walking right from the door.
- The Hare and Hounds Hotel in Tetbury won't break the bank either. However the newly refurbished rooms and suites boast elegance and charm and there's a fine dining restaurant which is popular with both guests and locals.
Pet friendly
- Lords of the Manor Hotel is very doggy friendly. Your four legged friend will be welcomed with a cosy blanket and tasty treats.
- Cotswold House Hotel in Chipping Camden is a good pet friendly choice. They'll provide a bed and treats and can even organise dog-sitting if needed.
- The Close Hotel in Tetbury also welcomes dogs for a small daily fee.
For a boutique stay
- Russell's of Broadway is a chic restaurant with rooms in a picture postcard Cotswolds village. Its seven spacious rooms and suites are contemporary in style but with period features and indulgent freestanding bath tubs.
- The Lion Inn is a boutique pub with rooms in Winchcombe. Each of the eight bedrooms is beautifully presented whilst the pub downstairs oozes period charm with its low beams and exposed stone walls. Completely charming!
With a swimming pool
- Calcot Manor Hotel is one of the area's finest luxury properties. Here in their pampering spa there's a 16m indoor heated pool plus an outdoor fireside hot tub in the lavender filled courtyard.
- The Lygon Arms is the one to pick if you're travelling with the whole family — they welcome both children and dogs! They've got a 14m indoor pool here, but the best bit is the retractable roof for when the weather perks up.
