Kent is becoming an increasingly popular weekend destination with Londoners who want a country escape. It's got a thriving art scene and there are lots of excellent restaurants. Add to this the beautiful countryside that earned it its moniker as the ‘Garden of England’ and what's not to like? Accommodation providers here have upped their game too, but surprisingly the best hotels with hot tubs in Kent are quite hard to find. We scoured our lists of the best country house hotels in Kent and Kent's Most Romantic Hotels, but would could only find a couple to recommend - so far!
Our pick of the bunch is Rowhill Grange a gorgeous country house hotel set in the Kent countryside, yet under an hour from London. Here you'll find elegant, romantic accommodation and a great restaurant. However the real draw is the award winning Utopia Spa which is crammed with excellent facilities including hot tub, sauna, steam room, large indoor pool and separate Japanese pool with underwater massage beds. On top of all this there's a large number of treatment rooms (two for couples) and comprehensive list of spoiling therapies on offer.
Our other favourite is Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa, a stone's throw from the racing circuit. Built by the Duke of Norfolk in 1806, it’s an elegant Georgian mansion country retreat. Twelve acres worth of the Garden of England surround it, and it’s in an excellent spot for sightseeing, or for escaping London. There are 38 rooms, which vary from simple bedroom to grand suite, plus a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant and a top notch spa with excellent facilities - including gym, tennis and squash court) and an OFSTED registered creche for the little ones.
