Hotel review

Guests are greeted with cocktails on the terrace at this mostly-white and multi-level resort, which descends in tiers towards the seashore. Rooms are generously-sized, with enormous beds and grand, double-sink marble bathrooms, and many have either a private pool or access to a shared one.

Swimming opportunities are plentiful – as well as the thalasso therapy circuit in the spa, there’s a jasmine-fringed adults-only pool, a main pool surrounded by loungers and a sheltered private beach with gauzy cabanas, perfect for dips with children.

Though mainly designed with couples in mind, families are also well-served – there's a kids’ club, a five-a-side football pitch and a restaurant-adjacent games room. As well a daily breakfast and dinner buffet and a scattering of appealing bars, dining options include atmospheric Elia, where tables encircle a firepit, and Alati, serving the catch of the day at lunch.

Across the 60-acre site staff are consistently welcoming, warmly greeting their many returning guests.
