- Fly to Badajoz Airport, and journey to your destination by road or rail. Many hotels will be happy to arrange a pick up in advance. If you're travelling from beyond Spain, you may find it simpler to fly to Madrid Barajas Airport, and onwards by train from there.

- Expect hot summers, with temperatures averaging at around 28°C - 35°C between June and August. Do be aware that this is peak holiday season, but cooler spring and autumn temperatures may be more appealing for exploring. You'll also find fewer crowds in April, May or late September.
