Helena Hamlyn

Travel has always played an important part in Helena’s life – from sailing in Suffolk to an overland journey from Nepal to Tibet aged 18. She worked in PR and social media for many years, for a number of UK hotels as well as tour operators and tourist boards. She now works in education, whilst continuing to seek out hotels for the Hotel Guru. She has lived in Turin and Montpellier, and today splits her time between London and Suffolk. Some of her favourite adventures to date include visiting a tea plantation in Darjeeling, exploring the Greek Islands by boat and hiking in Kyrgyzstan. Recent trips abroad include Finland, Martinique and Bequia in the Caribbean and Uzbekistan, and she is always on the lookout for new destinations to visit. Twitter, Linkedin
